Dr. Bilkis Banu

Dr. Bilkis Banu is an Associate Professor in the Department of Public Health at Independent University, Bangladesh. She holds a BSc (Hons) and MSc in Food & Nutrition from the University of Dhaka, a Master of Public Health from North South University, and a PhD in Public Health from Heidelberg University, Germany. Nationally and internationally, she has been recognized with awards for 19 innovations in public health education, as well as for securing research grants, fellowships, and conference support. She has received Best Presenter Awards at various academic conferences. Dr. Banu has authored 53 journal publications, 2 books, and presented more than 58 papers at national and international conferences. She has successfully organized and facilitated over 25 training programs, more than 60 workshops, 20 symposiums, and several public awareness initiatives, including the development of innovative awareness materials. She serves as a reviewer and editor for 15 reputed journals. Her research expertise includes Non-communicable Diseases, Health Promotion & Health Education, Public Health Nutrition, Digital Health (m-Health & e-Health), Mental Health and Maternal & Child Health.
