Speaker Bio: Dr. Musarrat Parvin
Dr. Musarrat Parvin is currently pursuing her PhD in Public Health with a specialization in Social and Behavioral Health at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where she focuses on innovative healthcare solutions for underserved populations. Her doctoral research centers on developing evidence-based interventions that bridge the gap between clinical practice and public health policy, particularly in resource-limited settings.
Dr. Parvin brings over 19 years of comprehensive expertise spanning clinical practice, public health program management, and research implementation. Her diverse professional background includes serving as Field Program Manager for Alive and Thrive (FHI360/USAID), leading maternal nutrition interventions across Bangladesh, and as Technical Coordinator for international health initiatives with CARE Bangladesh and Concern Universal. She has extensive experience in community health worker training, healthcare capacity building, and establishing primary healthcare services for marginalized populations, including tribal communities in Hill Tract areas. Most recently, she contributed to WHO clinical research at the Projahnmo Research Foundation, collaborating with Johns Hopkins University.
Her academic credentials include an MBBS, MPH, MS in Development Studies, and DGO, complemented by extensive research experience in maternal health, nutrition interventions, and healthcare delivery systems. Dr. Parvin has published in peer-reviewed journals, including PLOS Medicine, and has presented at international conferences on global health.
