Biography
Dr. Nuren Abedin is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Kyushu University, Japan, specializing in sustainable mobility, social business, and data-driven transport solutions. She earned her Ph.D. in Information Science in 2021 from the Graduate School of Information Science and Electrical Engineering (ISEE), where she also engaged with the Institute of Decision Science for Sustainable Society (IDS³). Her current work focuses on designing community-based rideshare models and alternative transport systems tailored to the unique travel demands of developing countries, particularly addressing unmet mobility needs. Beyond transportation, she is actively involved in research on health-tech innovations such as AI-enabled Learning Health Systems, while also exploring the intersections of ICT, social entrepreneurship, and the SDGs. She continues to build collaborations across academia, government, and industry to develop inclusive, technology-driven solutions for global challenges.
