Associate Professor, Institute for Asian and Oceanian Studies (Q-AOS), Kyushu University, Japan. My areas of expertise are sociology and gender studies. My main research themes include the ambiguous and in-between labor roles of housewives, and women’s social movements surrounding the U.S. military bases in Okinawa.
