Biography

Dr. Naoki Suzuki is a licensed veterinarian and Associate Professor (Distinguished Researcher) at Hiroshima University, where he is affiliated with the Graduate School of Integrated Sciences for Life and the Dairy Ecosystem Research and Development Center. After earning his veterinary degree from Kitasato University in 2014, he gained clinical experience in livestock practice before completing his Ph.D. in Agricultural Science at Hiroshima University in 2021.
His research focuses on bacterial infections in dairy cattle, particularly mastitis, and the bacterial pathogenicity deteminants and antimicrobial resistence. Dr. Suzuki integrates clinical insights with microbiological approaches to improve udder health and food safety. He has led several funded research projects and received multiple honors, including the Minister of Agriculture Award and the Japan Society of Animal Science Merit Award for Distinguished Contributions to Livestock Science, and multiple presentation awards from national veterinary and mastitis research societies. Dr. Suzuki also serves on committees for bovine mastitis research and veterinary science in Japan.
