Biography
Olutola Vivian Awosiku is a dedicated Digital Health Advocate She is passionately focused on the intersection of healthcare data, innovation programs, and entrepreneurship, striving to develop innovative solutions to healthcare challenges. In 2022, Olutola founded Digital Health Africa, a youth-led NGO dedicated to promoting the digital health agenda in Africa. The organization focuses on improving access to health information and fostering community engagement among stakeholders in the digital health ecosystem. Under her leadership, Digital Health Africa has become home to the largest community of students innovating in the healthcare space, significantly increasing youth participation in digital health. Olutola has also contributed her expertise to digital health startups such as Healthstack and Zuri Health, working in program development and operations. Her influence and impact in the HealthTech space have earned her several recognitions. Olutola was honored with the Rising Star in Health Technology award at the Africa Healthcare Awards 2021. She was also selected as one of the 16 women for the GapX Young Female Rising Star Award 2024 and was nominated for the Africa Emerging Leaders Awards 2024. Recently, she was nominated for the Nigerians Top Young Persons Award in Medical Innovation, further affirming her contributions to the field. As a young leader, Olutola has shared her insights on medical innovation and emerging health technologies at various prestigious platforms, including JCI University College Hospital Ibadan, the National Model UN Africa, Africa CDC Youth Pre- Conference 2023 amongst others Olutola Vivian Awosiku continues to be a transformative force in digital health, leveraging her expertise and passion to create a more inclusive and innovative healthcare landscape in Africa.
